OUR HISTORY
Reid & Harrison has been in the Engineering business for over 60 years with its origins centering on Ken Reid who set up his Engineering business in Matamata in the 1950’s. The business since has been based on the innovative yardmaster pump which is a cast iron pump designed specifically for solids handling and features trouble free non-clog performance. The Yardmaster pump, having great success in the dairy effluent sector, resulted in a widening of the effluent management products being offered. This lead to the 2014 acquisition of the Whangarei based Industrial Stainless Design (ISD) business, a stainless manufacturing company with over 40 year’s business experience. Their products included a range of Separators ideal for effluent separation as well as specialized equipment for use in food processing and food handling including Rotosieves, Curd Mills, Casein Mincers and general stainless engineering.
The Stainless business was relocated to the Reid & Harrison Matamata site along with some of the previously ISD staff.
Today the business operates with the typical Reid & Harrison focus on reliability and quality, incorporating many of the original designs, and enjoys the added resources and Engineers that Reid & Harrison provides.

A level 5 trade qualified tradesman with stainless certifications. Originally one of the top stainless apprentices in NZ, Matt brings a passion and drive to stainless manufacture that is reflected in the product he makes.

Angus is very experienced with effluent separation products. He is one of NZ leading experts on separation bringing a non-nonsense practical approach to his solutions.
